Minden High School is a small, rural school with a big presence. With a state-of-the-art facility and a play production program that wins or places at district and state competitions consistently, Minden’s speech and theater programs experience as much student participation as the school’s sports programs.
Jeffrey Horner, who is the school counselor, coaches both the speech and play production programs with a dynamic energy that allows him to connect and engage with students in a way that helps them find their voice as actors.
Completed in 2017, Minden High School’s new building provides students with an environment that inspires learning and growth. It is the direct result of this tight-knit community’s investment in its public school and, more specifically, it’s students.
