Time goes by fast. And, in case you need another reminder to become sentimental this graduation season, take a look at Arlington Public Schools’ Senior Class from the fall of 2001 and the spring of 2014. Let the time warp begin.

This Sunday, Arlington Public Schools will celebrate and bid farewell to Mrs. Warner’s 2001 kindergarten class — a class she’s watched grow physically and intellectually over the years. In smaller school communities like Arlington, we often hear from teachers that it’s great to follow the success of their students when they move beyond their classroom. And we hear from students that it’s great to know there’s someone there supporting them along the way.
Every school we’ve visited has demonstrated this to us through their stories they tell us about their student-teacher relationships and it’s a beautiful thing. Teachers and students develop these close-knit relationships over time and it’s this bond that truly makes the difference in students’ education experience.
Congratulations to all those high school graduates this year, especially those 2014 Arlington Eagles.
