October 2 is the second Feel the Love Friday of the school year and we are honored to highlight the educators at Central Elementary School.
With the help of Principal Patty Smith, we surprised beloved Kindergarten teacher, Courtney Scott.
Courtney Scott has been a Kindergarten educator for 11 years. She has worked with students who struggled with coming to school at the beginning and by the end of the year told her she was the reason why they loved school!
While this school year is vastly different than her previous years one positive she’s seen is that her students know a LOT more about germs and how to stay healthy!
How to celebrate Feel the Love Friday
On the first Friday of every month we ask educators, students, parents, and community members to wear their I Love Public Schools gear and share a memory or a story about their public school.
Each month we also highlight one school and surprise an exceptional educator from that school! Look for our posts throughout the day on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
In April, one Omaha Public Schools family found a creative way to tackle remote learning. Now, the ‘The Geiler Prep Boarding School’ shares tips on how to adapt to the challenge of learning in the time of COVID.
Whether it’s inspired by COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter social movement, or the ways students are processing with the changing world around them, we’re looking for all types of art and creativity!
