This Feel the Love Friday we are honored to highlight the educators at Emerson Elementary School.
With the help of Principal Jenn True, we surprised beloved school counselor, Ginny Klingelhoefer.
Ginny Klingelhoefer has been in education for about 24 years. Beginning as a fifth-grade teacher, she moved on to counseling after 11 years. Ginny loves that she still gets to go into classrooms and teach the students! You can hear Ginny talk about the social and emotional lessons she shares with the kids in our conversation with her above!
I have so many reasons why I’m proud to be a school counselor. My role allows me to work with our community to help meet the needs of our students and their families. The kindness and support that the community has shown our school has been humbling. We are so fortunate to live in such a caring community.”

How to celebrate Feel the Love Friday
On the first Friday of every month we ask educators, students, parents, and community members to wear their I Love Public Schools gear and share a memory or a story about their public school.
Each month we also highlight one school and surprise an exceptional educator from that school! Look for our posts throughout the day on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
From ceramics and jewelry making to painting and drawing, the Art Bus LNK aims to support all forms of art and help Lincoln students tap into their creativity.
Schools are adapting to the current issues the world is facing. One of these adaptations happens during every student’s favorite time of the school day: lunch and recess.
