I’m nominating Rebecca Rodriguez from Betz Elementary as an exceptional educator. As teachers, we often feel pressed for time to “fit in” all the curriculum before the end of each quarter. However, Mrs. Rodriguez takes the time to reteach lessons and work with students one on one to make sure they know the content before moving on. She has been so proud of the growth her students have shown in spelling this year. She’s always telling her students funny stories and making them laugh.

She’s a great teacher to work with, we collaborate on lesson plans and activities. She is the union representative at our school. If teachers have issues, we can take them to her and we know she’ll find the answer.
