I Love Public Schools I Love Public Schools

I don't remember when Mrs Tina Thiele Blecher started teaching at Elgin Public Schools, but she has had a profound impact in the lives of struggling readers. Title 1/reading recovery, whatever it's called now was her area of expertise. She collected data, searched for the right program to fit each student or classroom, and worked with struggling readers daily.
Tina was someone teachers went to when they needed help with students, both reading and math. I don't remember her ever not having an answer to any of my questions.
Unless your child was in her program, you probably wouldn't know how important her job was. Her dedication hasn't changed. I use the past tense with Tina, because while teaching she got an administrative degree and is leaving Elgin Public to start a new journey as an administrator.
She will be a great asset to her new school.
