I nominate Jennifer Hasenauer, speech pathologist, at Sunrise Middle School in Kearney, Nebraska, as an outstanding educator. She builds relationships with students, colleagues, and parents first, then works with students in small group situations on oral and written communication skills and social emotional growth. In addition to her daily duties, she selflessly committed her time to mentor three special educators new to Sunrise Middle School during the 2021-22 school year. Jennifer puts in countless hours working with students and colleagues and does so happily and encouragingly. She has the intuitiveness to make on-the-spot decisions in all situations. Jennifer is an outstanding teacher and mentor to all students and colleagues who have the privilege to work with her.
