Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast! That is my favorite school tradition here at Wahoo Elementary School. On or around Dr. Seuss' Birthday we hold an annual Breakfast. Local and State dignitaries are invited by our 5th graders, who meet them at the front doors and dine with them. We decorate the lunch room in all things Seuss. Our awesome kitchen staff serves a full breakfast with green eggs and ham, and our High School drama classes love getting involved too, by dressing up as Seuss characters and interacting with everyone at the breakfast and, of course, photo ops! All families are invited and do they ever show up. We tend to serve about 850 breakfasts that morning. Following the breakfast, dignitaries and parents are encouraged to visit their child's classroom to read a book. This is a tradition that has been going for about 15 years now and one that our Staff, Alumni and Families here at Wahoo Elementary LOVE!
