Senior class performing the crowd favorite

Homecoming at Heartland Community Schools is a special week. After a week of class competitions, dress-up days and ball games, the weekends with a parade around town and my favorite, the talent show pep rally.

Each class chooses a boy and girl to represent their class in a singing competition and another pair for the dance competition. Each class then performs in front of the theater filled with all of the k-12 students, teachers and community members. Each performance is prepared and practiced during the week. Our students are so talented and I'm always surprised by their ability to perform in front of such a big crowd. By the end of the afternoon, I'm always reminded of why I'm proud to be a Heartland Huskie!
