We’ve surpassed our initial goal of 250 shirts. Now, with nearly 600 shirts sold, we’re continuing to donate a portion of the sales from this shirt to The American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. Thank you for your support.*
Inspired by our original t‑shirt project, this limited edition t‑shirt is one way to show support for the more than 70 public school communities impacted by the Nebraska floods.
As schools prepare for what’s next, statewide relief efforts are providing help for families in need. Nebraska Strong represents the resiliency of our friends and neighbors, our community investment, and a commitment to our families and students. *Nebraska Loves Public Schools and our partner, Bergman Incentives, will donate 100% of sales of the first 250 shirts to The American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. We’ll continue to donate a portion of the proceeds thereafter to The American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.
WHAT’S NEXT
These relief efforts in the immediate stages are just beginning as students and families recover in the aftermath of this tragedy. Natural disasters can be especially difficult for students, educators and families alike. The devastation to a familiar environment – a home, school, or community – can be long-lasting, distressing, and traumatic. As communities prepare for what’s next, addressing the mental health needs of those impacted becomes an increasing priority.
Now, and when our communities return to a new normal, it is important to be compassionate and understanding, and to offer support where needed, both physically and emotionally. To understand how daily events and crises like this impact our public schools, we encourage you to watch The Mind Inside, our film series on mental health in Nebraska schools.
