September 4 is the first Feel the Love Friday of the school year and we are honored to highlight educators at Sidney High School.
With the help of Principal Chris Arent, we surprised two very dedicated educators: Amy Koozer and Bryan Schoening.
Amy Koozer has been an educator for about 14 years! This year she’ll be teaching Algebra, Business Math, and World Geography.
Mrs. Koozer knows that she can change kids’ lives for the better and that is her constant motivation as an educator. Being able to engage her students and challenge them, knowing they are better prepared for the future, brings her so much joy.
Bryan Schoening has been teaching at Sidney for eight years. He is also an alumnus of Sidney High School. Math is his expertise and this year he’s teaching Geometry, Algebra II, and Integrated Math.
Bryan shared with us how he actually used to struggle with math in high school and it wasn’t until he had a great teacher that he realized how much he enjoyed the subject. In a full-circle turn of events, Bryan took that teacher’s spot once he retired!
How to celebrate Feel the Love Friday
On the first Friday of every month we ask educators, students, parents, and community members to wear their I Love Public Schools gear and share a memory or a story about their public school.
Each month we also highlight one school and surprise an exceptional educator from that school! Look for our posts throughout the day on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
