I Love Public Schools I Love Public Schools

One of our traditions at Kooser Elementary occurs on Friday mornings the day before Husker home games. As students line up under the canopy before school the principal signals all to get quiet. She then yells out, "Go Big Red." (in the long drawn out way). Students quickly put their fists up and also respond with "Go Big Red." The music teacher immediately starts playing the Nebraska fight song on his tuba and students clap in unison. At the end of the song after three Go Big Reds, the music teacher then plays our Kooser school song and all students and adults join in singing it. Students are then given a signal, show they are ready, and enter the school to start their day.
