Chelsi Janicek (Swanson Grade 3 teacher) has worked magic on my nine-year-old. This is the first time he has ever been really excited to go back to school after winter break. He usually faces school with varying levels of anxiety, but this time he is bubbling with enthusiasm about favorite classes, upcoming projects, and his newfound love of writing. She seems to accomplish this by NOT stressing rules or uniformity. What a gift this is to me, and to his long-term success.
