These two little guys came into my office today. One had a bloody knee and was crying, the other was holding his hand. I told the helper that he could go back to recess and I would take care of his buddy. He replied "I wanna stay with my friend". I said okay and took them both into the health room to fix up the knee. The two boys sat up on the cot and chattered the whole time I was patching up the knee about how their dad's could fix anything. The injured child turned to the other child and said "I'm so lucky to have a friend like you". It melted my heart. Kindness counts! Even the smallest of us can figure that out.
