Hello! I am a student at Iowa State University studying Elementary Education. I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Lee Perez and all of his students during my first ESL experience. I could not have been more lucky to be placed at this school with Mr. Perez. His students were so kind and respectful, and taught me just as much as I taught them. Additionally, Mr. Perez was an excellent role model, and I hope to be half the ESL teacher he is someday. I can tell that he truly cares about each and every one of his students and their success. In the short few months I was there, I saw his students improve so much, not only in their academics, but also their social skills. They were opening up, sharing and laughing. They were having a great time, all whilst learning, despite everything crazy happening in the world right now.
