I am a retired public school administrator of 37 years (administrator/teacher). Public schools are one of the most democratic institutions in America. They are committed to serving all students from the most gifted to the most disabled and every combination. They welcome and serve everyone. Public schools recognize the special gifts of each student and areas of need. Public schools work to improve both. They are organizations whose main purpose is to help others. I have seen this through multiple decades in my work in a variety of states and school districts. Please recognize, applaud, acclaim and support public schools and their dedication and contributions.
