My daughter is 9 years old and a 4th grader at Wildewood Elementary in Ralston, where Dr. and Mrs. Adler introduced the #BeKind movement. On the first day of school, we take pictures and use a dry erase board to capture what grade, teacher, etc. On this board it says "When I grown up I want to be" and leaves a blank for the occupation to be written in. My daughter wrote in "Kind". When I asked her about it, she said that lots of kids will say a teacher or policeman, but she doesn't know for sure what she wants to do she just knows she wants to be kind! I am not sure I have ever been prouder of her. In our house, and since she could walk and talk, we have always taught her that she does not have to like everyone she meets, but she does have to be kind to them. I am glad to see that she understands what we have been teaching her.
