10 Ways to Participate in #ilovepublicschools Day 2020
1. Share a reason why public education means something to you and your family.
We are constantly hearing wonderful stories of public school teachers who are changing lives and lifting their students. We want to hear why these educators have been instrumental in your life or the lives of your children.

2. Wear your I Love Public Schools gear and take a photo.
If you own an I Love Public Schools shirt, we want to see you wearing it with pride. Snap a picture or a selfie!
Share your photo online with us using #ilovepublicshools. (If you don’t have a shirt, don’t worry. Here’s where you can get one).
3. Write a “thank you” note to your child’s teachers.
Every day, teachers and staff at schools around the country work tirelessly to educate our future leaders. Take some time to thank them for their efforts!

4. Organize a staff lunch for your child’s school.
5. Drop off breakfast to the staff lounge.
Similar to the one above but who doesn’t love coffee and donuts? Help the staff at your child’s school start I Love Public Schools Day off right!

6. Donate to your school’s supplies list.
Whether it’s more paper, new highlighters, or whiteboard markers, every school could use more supplies to help keep students engaged and learning.

7. Call your school and ask how you can volunteer.
Volunteering your time at your child’s school brings you closer to the staff and closer to your child! Spend an hour reading to different classrooms or volunteer to be a lunch monitor. Call your school about how you can help out.

8. Inquire about how your employer can be more involved in your child’s school.

9. Ask your child’s principal about starting an I Love Public Schools shirt fundraiser for your school.
It’s easy to fundraise with us! Get your school’s logo on the back of an I Love Public Schools shirt and you can earn money for field trips, art supplies, school clubs and more!
10. Watch one of our films and share on social media how your family relates to the film.
We make films in support of Nebraska’s public schools and we would love to hear how you and your family relate to them. If you are a graduate of public schools, have a child in public school, or teach at a public school, we hope you find a film you enjoy.
