Growing up, and even now that I am a teacher, I always loved Fridays. Not just because the weekend was coming, but because schools seem to come together. Teachers wear school or Husker colors, students are excited for the sports that play that evening, and often times there are special events, such as snack carts or assemblies. Fridays in public school aren't just about the weekend - they have always been about coming together as students, teachers, and an entire school!
