Being later in my professional life, I have many stories. But over the past couple of years, I have really started to enjoy watching former students join what I believe to be the most honorable profession there is.
Knowing why I teach, and then seeing former students enter the teaching profession, it heartens me greatly to know that somewhere along the line, that student had a teacher just as important to them as my teachers were to me. For them to now become a colleague is something very special to me. It adds another level to the relationships that I already cherish so greatly.
