Lew Roney from Cheyenne Central High School was one of my favorite teachers. He had a passion for mathematics like no one I had ever met. He loved what he was doing, and it was contagious. He used to get so excited about what he was teaching us that he would spit. The joke was that he was the best math teacher in the building, just don't sit in the front row. He is the reason that I am a math teacher today, and I aspire to be the teacher he was for me.
