Karen Bostic Perlmeter
I never had Mr. Hayes as a teacher or principal, but I did interview with him several years ago for a teaching a position at North. When I walked in, I was nervous (I really wanted the job), but he put me at ease with his first words. Which Bostic are you? When I told him my dad's name, he not only remembered my dad, he remembered my grandfather. They both taught many, many moons ago. He shared stories I'd never known. He later offered me the job and unfortunately, I couldn't accept, but I will be forever grateful to him for sharing with me about a man who died when I was only knee high. Thank you for all you've done for Omaha and God bless you. Enjoy your retirement. You've earned it.
