Marilyn from 1995 to 2018..

In 1995, I was one year old. But, my current teaching partner, Marilyn Mejstrik started a tradition at Westridge Elementary that she still does today! Marilyn is a huge Husker fan, and so on Friday mornings, the day before the big games, Marilyn gets on the intercom, holds the phone to her CD player, and plays the Husker Fight Song! She has recruited teachers along the years to help her and clap along! Of course at the end, we yell GO BIG RED! When I learned of this tradition last year, I knew this was something special! Marilyn has kept this tradition going for 23 years strong! She is a light in our school and loves her Husker football! GO BIG RED!!
