I Love Public Schools

Story By:

When I was in grade school we always had a book parade. At Calvert Elementary School in Lincoln we got to pick a character from a book we had read and then dress up as that character. We would walk outside around the building while parents cheered us on. For myself, not being a confident reader, it was one way to "fit in". I got to show my parents, friends, and teachers which book I had read and why I loved it so much. I can still remember the titles for 3 out of the 6 book parades we did!
